Naraka: Bladepoint: Latest Update Rounds Out Zai's Abilities

June 28 Update 24 Entertainment

Do you like playing Zai in the martial arts battle royale Naraka: Bladepoint? Well, you might be thrilled to know that the recent update has added her last two abilities, namely Flame Ward: Firestorm and Chain Scythe: Afflict.

When Flame Ward: Firestorm is activated, Zai jumps into the air and transforms into a Flame Ward. While in the air, she enters aiming mode where she can decide where to land; she also cannot be hit with attacks during this time. After a brief period, she crashes down to the targeted location, dealing damage and knocking enemies airborne, burning them to a crisp in the process.

Her ultimate ability, Chain Scythe: Afflict, is pretty interesting. When used, Zai switches her current weapon to a magical chain scythe for 30 seconds. Her vertical and horizontal strikes are different when her ultimate is active. Every attack puts a mark on the enemy, and if they've accumulated two marks, pressing V unleashes a damaging move called Splinter Soul.

Patch Notes

New Souljades

  • Extreme Souljades have been added for 4 weapons, with each having its own requirement for consumption of Ultimate Rage:

    • Shadow Eclipse: [Dagger Skill] Grant Dagger a 3rd-stage horizontal charged strike with enough Rage, thrusting forth and leaving a marker. Can attack repeatedly, with its final blow launching another attack from the marker.
    • Annihilation Render: [Greatsword Skill] Grant Greatsword a 3rd-stage vertical charged strike with enough Rage. Can attack repeatedly, and land an additional final blow.
    • Moonbane's Wrath: [Longsword Skill] Grant Longsword a 3rd-stage horizontal charged strike with enough Rage. Enemies hit are marked. Can attack repeatedly, with its final blow stunning enemies.

In-Game Adjustments

  • Newly Added Report Button to Martial Artist Solo
    • Tap the Z button at any time during the match to enter the reporting interface.
    • A report button has been added to the settlement interface after the end of the game.

Other Adjustments

  • Voice adjustments
    • After a thorough assessment of resource use, we have made the difficult decision to limit the language options for voice-overs in the game to Chinese, English, and Japanese. We understand that this may cause inconvenience to some of our players, and we sincerely apologize for that. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
  • Spectator adjustments
    • The position of the "Spectating XXX" / "XX's Camera" prompt interface for in-game spectators and referee spectators has been adjusted.
    • In the Settings - Gameplay - Ref Spectate, a new option "Hide the Ref Spectator Interface" has been added. After turning it on, you can hide the "XX's Camera" prompt interface for the referee spectator.

So, what can you say about Zai's new abilities? Naraka: Bladepoint June 29 update is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
