Sony has announced recently that two amazing PlayStation games are coming to PC. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on Steam and Epic Games Store this year. The announcement was made during yesterday’s State of Play.

The Reveal

The PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will launch on August 12, 2022, whereas the Miles Morales PC port will be released in fall 2022. Strangely, the trailer only mentioned the PC version of Spider-Man Remastered, leaving Miles Morales’ PC version in the dark. Sony confirmed its existence, so I wonder why it didn’t reveal both in the trailer.

About the Port

The PC versions are being developed by Nixxes Software, a company known for porting games to PC and was acquired by Sony last year.

The blog doesn’t reveal a lot of technical information. Yet we do know that the game will support mouse and keyboard, obviously! Players will also have the option to adjust render settings and ray-traced reflections. More details about the PC version will be revealed as we get closer to the release date.

About the Franchise

Marvel’s Spider-Man games by Sony have been a great success, both critically and financially. The franchise has sold more than 33 million copies and this will skyrocket after Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches in 2023, assuming it isn’t delayed to the following year. Insomniac has developed all entries in the franchise and will be developing the sequel as well. The said developer is also working on Marvel’s Wolverine.

Other PC Port

The PC port of Spider-Man came as a surprise as it wasn’t mentioned in last year’s Nvidia GeForce leak. Now my hopes for the PC port of The Last of Us Part 2 aren’t in vain anymore. Meanwhile, a recent leak suggests that the PC version of Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Returnal is in development and should be released soon. Sony has also confirmed that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released this year for PC.

So what do you think? Are you excited about the PC port of these two games? Have you played these games on PlayStation before? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
