Rumors for the LG G6 have circulated steadily and new leaks reveal possible designs for the 2017 flagship. Tech informants OnLeaks and GearIndia recently created and shared renders of the device based on rumors about specs and dimensions. According to the renders, the LG G6 may not feature the modular design introduced on the LG G5 in February 2016.

LG is likely aiming to recoup its losses after the LG G5 failed to grab the attention of customers. The manufacturer aimed to reach buyers who desired a removable battery. The LG G5 features a detachable chin area, which allows its battery to slide out. It was intended to be change from devices featuring removable back panels to allow access to the battery. However, the modular components proved difficult to remove and attachable accessories, such which as a wide angle lenses and additional speakers, did not appeal to consumers.

The LG is expected to announce the G6 in late February or early March to coincide with Mobile World Congress, featuring a unibody design inspired by both the LG G5 and the LG V20. Dimensions for the LG G6 are believed to be 148.8 x 72.3 x 8.3mm. Other specs rumored for the device include a 5.3-inch Quad HD display, a USB Type-C port and an all-metal frame with matte and glossy finishes.
