The first update for League of Legends: Wild Rift since Patch 3.4 was released is here. Patch 3.4a implements a lot of balancing changes. However, the main highlight here is the fundamental change made to support quest items.

According to Riot Games, the newly added Relic Shield and Spectral Sickle were ramping up the support economy too quickly during the laning phase. To address this, a major change was implemented where the owner of these items cannot consume charges when they’re near an ally that also has a support quest item. This means that they cannot gain extra gold with the support quest items’ passives under such a circumstance.

These items received individual adjustments in terms of gold gained as well. The Relic Shield’s Spoils of War passive is nerfed. Now, the owner of the item only gets 120%, instead of 135% of the kill gold per charge consumption when culling minions. Furthermore, minion gold counted toward quest progress is reduced to 58%.

For the Spectral Sickle, the gold gained per charge consumption of its Tribute passive is reduced to 25.

In addition, some champions received balancing changes. Camille has a slight boost in HP per level, and the base damage of her Tactical Sweep has been increased to 90/125/160/195. This is to help her with laning in the early game, while also increasing her survivability in the late game.

Karma still remains one of the top-performing support champions in Wild Rift. To bring her effectiveness down a notch, her Focused Resolve ability has its cooldown increased to 15 seconds. On top of that, the non-mantra movement speed bonus of her Inspire ability is decreased to just 30%.
