A new update has been released for the King of Fighters ALLSTAR which also introduces a crossover with another fighting title Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown. This marks the first crossover of the King of Fighters series with the iconic Virtua Fighter franchise from Sega.
In this crossover, players can take control of iconic fighters from Virtua Fighter and take them into battle with their King of Fighters ALLSTAR counterparts. Get ready to add Akira and Pai to your roster and be introduced to two Original Style fighters.
New Fighters
One of the new fighters is EX Akira (Yellow Element/Attack Type). He brings a leader skill which can increase the damage dealt by attack and strike skills. He also has a special skill which applies additional damage equal to a multiple of attack power upon landing his strike skill. This special skill also gives the target a buff that makes them immune to the Petrify effect and can even ignore the guard of the enemy.
The other new fighter is EX Pai (Purple Element/Defense Type). She has a leader skill which can increase the basic attack, strike skill damage, and attack speed by a percentage. Meanwhile, Pai’s special skill gives buffs to the team for a period after landing a skill versus those who currently have an abnormal status.
Original Style
The crossover also allows players to get Original Style Akira for free as a login bonus. After that, they can awaken him five times by playing in-game content. There's also the Original Style Sarah which can be obtained through in-game summons.
Other pieces of content exclusive to this collaboration include the Collaboration Boss Challenge, Dream Match, where players can meet all fighters, and mini racing games.
