Sony and Guerrilla Games have finally confirmed the first Horizon Zero Dawn DLC The Frozen Wilds, will release before the end of 2017. We’re still a few months away from having a reason to return to the studio’s first open-world adventure. But we’re thankful to hear the first Horizon Zero Dawn expansion is exactly three months away.

Today’s announcement, made on the PlayStation Blog, was brief (to say the least). At less than 150 words, there wasn’t much of anything besides a reminder of the name, the release date and links for HZD’s social media accounts. There wasn’t any new information about the expansion other than the launch timeline. No new screenshots. No new footage. Nothing on any of the new robo-animals we’ll encounter when the Horizon Zero Dawn expansion heads to PS4. It does mention a pre-order bonus, and a pretty lackluster one at that. But anyone hoping we might get a little extra information alongside the release date will be disappointed.

The good news is that we still aren’t completely in the dark. Sony and Guerrilla did release a teaser for the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn expansion during the former’s annual E3 presser. There isn’t much gameplay in the 90-second clip; however, The Frozen Wilds ’ E3 trailer does at least offer an early look at some of the people, places and things we’ll encounter when the first Horizon Zero Dawn DLC releases this holiday season. It also suggests ice and other elements of cold weather will play a major role in the expansion. As if the name "Frozen Wilds" didn’t do a good enough job of communicating that bit already.

For an early look at the first Horizon Zero Dawn expansion, take a few minutes to watch the Frozen Wilds trailer that debuted at E3. Then head down to the comments and let us know if you’re looking forward to revisiting Aloy’s world when the HZD DLC hits PS4 in November.

Horizon Zero Dawn is currently available for PlayStation 4. The game’s first expansion, The Frozen Wilds , is set for a release date of Nov. 7.
