Hisuian Typhlosion to Debut in Pokémon GO Three-Star Raids

A new Pokémon is once again raring to make its debut in Pokémon GO. This time it's none other than Hisuian Typhlosion. This Ghost Flame Pokémon is appearing in three-star raids on January 14 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time.

During the Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day, trainers can get as much as five extra free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs. Trainers also get an increased chance to encounter a Shiny version of Hisuian Typhlosion. Trainers should also be happy to know that the Remote Raid limit is increased to 20 from January 13 at 7:00 p.m. EST to January 14 at 10:00 p.m. EST.

To join the event, trainers need to buy a ticket worth $5. It may seem a bit pricey but it comes with bonuses which are:

  • Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
  • Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
  • 50% more XP from Raid Battles
  • 2× Stardust from Raid Battles

These bonuses are effective from 2:00 p.m. (local time) to 10:00 p.m. (local time) on January 14.

A New Tour

This event is but a taste of what's to come which is the Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh. It's going to be held in Los Angeles from February 17 to February 18. During this in-person event, everyone's favorite Pokémon from the Sinnoh region of both Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl are going to be in the Rose Bowl Stadium. It's a chance for trainer to catch, trade, and do battle with their favorite Pokémon.

January Events

The Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day is just one of the many events happening in the game this January.

There's Eggs-pedition Access which is already live and runs until January 29. Timed Research opportunities are available where trainers can get their hands on Incubators, increased Gift storage, and extra XP. The only catch is those who want to join need to buy a $5 ticket.

The January Community Day meanwhile is this Saturday with Rowlet appearing more frequently in the wild. Trainers can also look forward to PokéStop Showcases and Field Research. Saturday also marks the start of the Lustrous Odyssey event which ends January 10. During this event, trainers get to encounter Dusk Form Lycanroc.
