Dusk Form Lycanroc to Debut in Pokémon GO Lustrous Odyssey Event

A new event is launching Pokémon GO and it's going to see the Wolf Pokémon make its official debut to the game. The Lustrous Odyssey starts January 6 and runs until January 10. During the event, not only are trainers going to meet Dusk Form Lycanroc but they'll also be able to evolve Shiny Rockruff to Shiny Dusk Form Lycanroc.

For this event, Rockruff that are hatched from Eggs received as Adventure Sync rewards during Timeless Travels have a chance to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc. In addition, trainers can also enjoy these:

  • Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing you Souvenirs.
  • Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing you presents.
  • Buddies spend more time on the map after being fed Berries or Poffins.

    • Spinarak
    • Sunkern
    • Teddiursa
    • Lunatone
    • Solrock
    • Yungoos
    • Fomantis

  • These Pokémon appear in raids:
    • One-Star Raids
      • Hisuian Growlithe
      • Rhyhorn
      • Hisuian Sneasel
      • Rockruff
    • Three-Star Raids
      • Lapras
      • Aerodactyl
      • Hisuian Braviary
      • Wyrdeer
  • Rockruff hatches from 2 km and 7 km Eggs, in addition to the Pokémon that currently hatch from those Eggs.
    • Rockruff hatched from these Eggs have a chance to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc.
  • These Pokémon are available to encounter when completing Field Research tasks:
    • Hisuian Growlithe
    • Hisuian Sneasel
    • Rockruff

Community Day Classic

Also happening this Saturday is the Pokémon GO Community Day. It's set to feature Rowlet, which is going to appear more frequently in the wild. You can read more about it here. However, there's also what's known as Community Day Classic and it's on January 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time.

The featured Pokémon is Porygon, which is appearing more frequently in the wild. Those who can evolve their Porygon to Porygon2 and then evolve it again can get a Porygon-Z which has the Charged Attack Tri Attack. This is only valid during the event or up to two hours afterward.

For bonuses, trainers can enjoy these during the January 2024 Community Day Classic:

  • 3× XP for catching Pokémon
  • Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event lasts for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day Classic for a surprise.
