Fortnite Sidegrading
Fortnite Sidegrading Future Game Releases

The latest patch notes for Fortnite highlight a standout feature called sidegrading. The sidegrading feature allows players to take their assault rifles into non-competitive playlists and upgrade them to heavy assault rifles. These upgraded weapons then get reintroduced into the Battle Royale. The sidegrading feature prevents players from finding weapons inside Chests and Loot Crates, and instead must take their assault rifles to one of these sidegrading workbenches to upgrade them. These workbenches can be found scattered across the map.

Talking about the heavy assualt rifle, the weapon deals massive 46 DPS, with a generous magazine size of 25 to go full-auto on your opponents and claim the Victory Royale.

With the festive season over, Epic is back to work by providing new updates for Fortnite. The update is currently live and players can take advantage of the sidegrading mechanic and stay prepared ahead of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2.
