Granblue Fantasy: Versus announced that Yuel is all set to join the roster. She is the latest character to be added to the Season 2 roster. Players can buy her individually for $6.99 or as part of the Character Pass 2 DLC Bundle priced at $34.99. The bundle already released Belial and Cagliostro. While the next Season 2 character Anre is set to join the game in early 2021.
A New Fighter is Here
Yuel is an energetic Erune girl who brings with her twin-blade dances, which could surely dazzle and confound enemies. Yuel is tasked by her clan to recover an ancestral treasure. But she’s doing it with her lifelong friend Societte.
Even with the burden, she continues to have that spunky attitude and positive outlook. This resulted in Yuel getting a reputation as the life of the party. Make no mistake though. When she enters the battlefield, her swordsmanship and mastery of foxflame make her a deadly and unpredictable opponent.
Yuel arrives in the game through Patch Ver. 2.21, which also adds these weapon skins:
- Sennen Goji
- Ichigo Vyrntofuri
- Swordfish
- Blushing Blossom Pin
- Izayoi
- Juzumaru
- Crimson Sapphire
New Battle Pass
Yuel isn’t the only thing coming to the game. There’s also a new Battle Pass feature to be introduced in version 2.22, rolling out later this month.
The Battle Pass lets players clear limited-time challenges to increase their level as well as receive rewards. The free track rewards players with free in-game items as they level up. These include, among many others, rupies, RPG Mode weapons, and even in-game trophies. The Premium Rewards track is available for purchase, which gives extra cosmetic rewards.
Patch Ver. 2.21
While Granblue Fantasy: Versus is indeed a fighting game, it also has a story mode known as RPG Mode. This mode is more of a side-scrolling, beat-'em up, action game mode. With this new patch, players can expect these new quest episodes:
- Ninetails of Danger
- Location: Amalthea Island
- Unlock Requirement: Clear Episode 45: “Captains’ Will” (Normal)
- Additional Requirement: Yuel must be available as a playable character to start this quest.
- This quest is still displayed even if Yuel is not available as a playable character.
- Panic at the Jewel Resort
- Location: Auguste Isles
- Unlock Requirement: Clear Ninetails of Danger
- Additional Requirement: Yuel must be available as a playable character to start this quest.
- Dancing Foxflame (Hard)
- Location: Fremel Island
- Unlock Requirement: Unlock Fremel Island (Hard)
