Recently, co-publishers All In! Games and 505 Games confirmed the release date for Ghostrunner on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but now it has been confirmed that Ghostrunner will also launch on the Nintendo Switch.

Earlier, it was confirmed that Ghostrunner will be releasing for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Typically, if a game is supposed to get a Switch port, the Switch version launches after the other console versions release. However, this isn't going to be the case with Ghostrunner. The co-publishers announced earlier today that Ghostrunner will launch on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, on the same day.

Alongside the announcement, the Ghostrunner Twitter account also shared a new debut trailer for the game, showing how the game looks and runs on the handheld console. Ghostrunner does have rich graphical fidelity and it will be interesting to see how the Switch port maintains visual quality without sacrificing performance.

To the uninitiated, Ghostrunner takes place in a futuristic setting after a global cataclysm. As a result, the surviving human population lives in a tower that's built by The Architect who died mysteriously several years ago. The world is now being ruled by The Keymaster, who has made living a pain for everyone. Every surviving human's worth is now determined by the number of implants one has. If someone doesn't manage to get an implant, they are left alone to die and nobody can help them.

In a situation like this, a rebellion emerges in the form of cyber warriors. As a cyber warrior you are both the rescuer and the hunted. The mission is simple in Ghostrunner. Climb the tower where humanity resides, clear through the opposing forces, and uncover the hidden mystery of the tower. Either solve the puzzles of The Architect or get killed if you fail.

Ghostrunner is releasing on October 27 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
