Season X arrives to Fortnite. Epic Games

Fortnite officially introduced Season X, which brings with it a new Battle Pass. Called Season X - Out of Time, players get to enjoy 100 new levels and over 100 new rewards.

In the game, time has been twisted resulting in the Zero Point becoming volatile. This new season offers something for everyone, whether you're the type to be excited for the future or someone who remains nostalgic for the past. Locations that many have thought have been lost are starting to appear again, but they aren't the same ones as before.

Players can start the season by buying the Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks. For those who want to get ahead, the Battle Bundle is available for 2,800 V-Bucks and instantly unlocks the next 25 tiers. If you're feeling a little generous, you can even gift the Battle Pass to a friend.

You can learn more about the Season X Battle Pass here.

Season X arrived with Patch v10.00 and players are sure to be excited about the latest addition: the B.R.U.T.E. This mech suit is manned by two players, with one player controlling movement and the other controlling firepower. Think Pacific Rim and the Jaegers.

Features of the new mech suit include:

  • This vehicle can be operated by up to two players. If two players are operating it, one (the driver) controls movement, while the other (the gunner) rains down missiles and shotgun shots.
  • The driver is able to:
    • Dash into combat.
    • Super Jump to victory.
    • Stomp enemies and structures into the ground.
      • Anything you would normally harvest will grant materials when destroyed.
  • The passenger has two weapons at their disposal: a shotgun and a missile launcher.
    • Shotgun
      • Clip Size: 10
      • Damage: 50
      • Headshot Multiplier: 1.5x
    • Missile Launcher
      • Fires up to 10 missiles at once.
      • Holding down Trigger will begin loading missiles.
      • After releasing Trigger, or after 10 missiles have been loaded, all missiles will automatically fire.
  • New Mechanic: Overshield
    • Consumes 200 of any Material type to create a personal overshield for 5 seconds to protect you in the mech.
