Trusted "Fortnite" leaker HYPEX has recently shared via a post on X that one game mode is saying goodbye in the upcoming changes to the battle royale, and that is Team Rumble. The removal of this beloved game mode will reportedly take place today, June 18, following its long run on the action-shooter online game.
Team Rumble has given players a chance to compete in a match that focuses on a smaller map and fewer players joining in, with only two teams of 16 players, totaling 32 users. This game mode is similar to a team deathmatch experience where players need to eliminate the other party and reach a certain number of points to win the match and complete it.
This specific game mode was previously introduced as a Limited Time Mode, which only allowed players to enjoy its experiences for a set schedule, but due to popular demand, it was made available as a Core Mode almost six years ago.
Apart from this, players also appreciated Epic Games for allowing them to complete quests via Team Rumble mode, making it as good as playing in the different code modes in the game. Here, Team Rumble helped players finish quests more easily, on a smaller map, and in a shorter amount of time, making the completion of Battle Passes, challenges, and other limited-time quests faster according to GameRant.
Will Team Rumble Get Replacement Game Modes?
The leaker revealed that Team Rumble would be replaced by a new game mode called the Training Grounds mode and that this will feature a different experience for gamers on the battle island. Instead of a competitive environment, players will be given a chance to join others in a low-stakes match and focus on enhancing their skills in shooting with the different weapons available.
This specific mode would not bring any Build capabilities, so users only need to focus on improving their shooting skills using guns and other arms. In this specific game mode, players who die will get unlimited respawns and will only be contained in a single location in the battle island, primarily because it is only a "training ground."
On the other hand, an upcoming update this June 18 will also bring the new Blitz Royale game mode that was specifically designed for the mobile but would be available for a crossplay experience with other platforms.
