The many collaborations of "Fortnite" are now expanding to add one of the most popular Netflix series hailing from South Korea, "Squid Game."
However, this crossover will not be available on the battle royale, and instead, it will appear on "Fortnite's" Creative mode, which will allow players to create their own challenges.
When Netflix brought "Squid Game" to the world, it became an instant hit that led to the franchise getting a cult following and being remade in real-life reality survival shows and other in-game collaborations.
'Fortnite x Squid Game' Collaboration on Creative
"Fortnite" has recently revealed the latest collaboration coming to the renowned action game, and this finally answers the fans' prayers of getting "Squid Game" on the platform after many years. However, this collaboration is a little different from the many previous crossovers that took place on "Fortnite" as most of these types of collaborations bring the content to the battle royale.
In this latest collaboration, "Fortnite" brings "Squid Game" to the Creative mode part of the game, and here, users would not have to think of gunning their way out to be the last player or team standing. Here, users may either create their own "Squid Game" experiences or visit many islands that already recreated the experiences on the show.
"Squid Game" to Creative mode is offering massive possibilities for players that would allow them to create or design their own experiences as well as revisit iconic moments from the series. According to GameRant's report, there are already available experiences from creators that are popular among fans, particularly sundayew's "Octo Game 2" island that was made before this collaboration.
Players may visit this island and enjoy a similar experience to the Netflix show's iconic scenes and games, replicating the thrilling competition that is life or death for its participants.

"Squid Game" on "Fortnite's" Creative mode is an official collaboration between Epic Games and Netflix, and this means that the show's legitimate assets will soon be shared with creators. According to the developers, "Squid Game" is coming to the Unreal Editor for "Fortnite" (UEFN), which would feature all the necessary tools that the game needs to create the experiences for users.
The UEFN tools are dropping to "Fortnite's" Creative mode come June 27, which will share the important assets of the show to the game for a more immersive experience of the deadly reality survival game to the islands.
Despite this being clear that the collaboration is only meant for Creative mode, many are still wondering if "Squid Game" would also make it to other modes, particularly the Competitive mode which centers on the battle island. As per speculations, "Fortnite x Squid Game's" collaboration may extend to the main experience as "Fortnite Competitive's" account replied to the teaser post.
That being said, it remains unknown what it will bring, whether it offers new cosmetics featuring the pink guards and the contestants in their tracksuits, as well as new locations on the map.
