Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 Update and Changes Fortnite Insider

Following a few teasers, Epic Games rolled out Fortnite's Season 2 update on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile. The latest update brings along a host of new content, skins, changes, AI enemies, and more to the Battle Royale. Even though Epic Games hasn't released the official patch notes for the Season 2 update, players are creating their own version of patch notes.

The Chapter 2 Season2 update for Fortnite introduces a spy theme. The battleground has been taken by two warring factions known as Shadow and Ghost. You can side with either of the two factions as you complete weekly Battle Pass challenges and upgrade that specific character (Ghost/Shadow). Additionally, players can also unlock the official Deadpool skin by completing special Battle Pass missions.

Several new points of interest have been added on the map that go along the spy theme. These points of interest include enemy bases, which are heavily guarded by AI opponents. However, if you infiltrate these bases and kill the enemy leader, you will be able to loot some "unique and powerful weapons."

You will also be getting some new gadgets that go really well with the spy theme. These new gadgets include decoy grenades and proximity mines. To learn more about what's coming in Chapter 2 Season 2, you can head over to the official Fortnite website.

The current season was slated to begin last December, but the Season was extended until February this year. This delay was used to roll out additional content for the game, including the exclusive preview of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Birds of Prey crossover events, the latter of which added the Harley Quinn skin. Epic has mentioned that going forward, players can expect bigger updates in Season 2.
