Just last week, Red Dead Online finally came out of beta with the game’s biggest content drop yet, featuring a load of new co-op story missions, Free Roam activities, various stability improvements and fixes, and of course, Poker. It also introduced new gameplay aspects for online players, such as new playing styles, increased gold payouts for various activities, and so much more.

If you’re playing Rockstar Games’ critically-acclaimed title on the PlayStation 4, then you’re very lucky – Rockstar has announced that PS4 players of Red Dead Online will get early access to new Showdown modes, clothing, emotes and a brand-new melee weapon, all free of charge and can be used regardless of rank.

Here are some of the newest inclusions in Red Dead Online for early access on PS4.

  • Ancient Tomahawk – a powerful new melee weapon that can also be thrown for maximum effect. Visit your local Fence to acquire the weapon, completely free of charge and regardless of player rank.
  • Perlino Andalusian Horse, horse equipment, clothing and emotes – all new cosmetic items are available through the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue in the game, or through Rockstar’s Social Club online. The Perlino Andalusian Horse boasts a higher stamina than most horses, which means that you can count on it for longer rides. This horse can be acquired for free along with its set of saddle and saddlebags. Visiting a general store or tailor will let you try on the Finely Jacket, Stenger Studded Spurs and the Caldwell Hat. You can also get all of these from the store free of charge. The Catalogue also has new emotes, the Boast and the Hey, You. You can get them both for free and equip them on the Emote wheel.
  • Make it Count: Ancient Tomahawk – a new Showdown Mode fully available for all PS4 players. In this mode, you will use nothing but the Ancient Tomahawk against other players in a free-for-all, with the play area shrinking as time goes by.
  • Last Stand – this is a new variation of free-for-all in which players compete to survive in a two-minute bout. No rules, no way out, no second chances, and only one winner.

The newest update also lets you earn five Gold Bars for playing in a Posse at any time before May 27, so be sure to check it out.

Red Dead Online is now available to play on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
