The Dragon Ball Z 2D fighting game, Extreme Butoden for the Nintendo 3DS, has been out on the market for months now, but a huge patch has come to the popular game that adds three new game modes.

Japan received this patch in December 2015, but Bandai Namco left North America and Europe waiting. Finally, the new Extreme Butoden patch is coming to the rest of the world. Check out the Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden update trailer below.

The three game modes coming to Extreme Butoden include the anticipated Online Mode that allows players to fight friends online. In Extreme Survival Mode, like every other Survival Mode in games, your character will have to face opponent after opponent until they are defeated.

And finally, Extreme Budoten will now have a Training Mode (surprisingly absent from the game previously) so players can hone their skills.

There’s also balancing of characters included in the patch, along with new Z assist characters like Farmer Goku added to the game.

So are you still playing Extreme Butoden? Does these changes make you want to buy the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
