While there's still no word yet when the new DPC season starts, we all know that an update would be coming for Dota 2. Patch 7.32d is here and a lot of players are going to be happy that Wraith Pact has been nerfed.

It's not just nerfed but nerfed hard! Not surprising since many have long complained just how broken the Wraith Pact is. There were even some who wanted it removed from the game completely. Although that didn't happen, the new patch made it clear that the ward aura of Wraith Pact no longer reduces magical or pure damage. It's now only affected by physical damage from attacks and spells.

Considering just how much it costs to build the item, there's a high chance that players may be looking for other better and less expensive options.

Item Changes

Wraith Pact may have been nerfed but other items got buffed. Blade Mail, in particular, now has Active Damage Return of 85% instead of 80%, and the Active Damage Return no longer interrupts channeling when cast.

There are also items that had their total cost decreased:

  • Boots of Bearing
    • From 4,125 to 4,075.
  • Drum of Endurance
    • From 1,700 to 1,650.
  • Guardian Greaves
    • From 5,050 to 4,950.

Hero Changes

For heroes, it was obvious that Marci would be nerfed since she was the most picked hero during The International 2022. While this is not her first time getting nerfed, the changes in Patch 7.32d are sure to make life a bit difficult for those who pick her. Changes include:

  • Rebound
    • Cast and Jump Range decreased from 800 to 450/550/650/750.
    • Jump Speed decreased from 2,000 to 1,700.
  • Sidekick
    • Lifesteal decreased from 35/40/45/50% to 30/35/40/45%.

Another hero that's being seen regularly in tournaments is Primal Beast. The hero's Onslaught skill is nerfed due to these:

  • Damage decreased from 110/200/290/380 to 95/190/285/380.
  • Run is now canceled if Primal Beast is stunned during it.

Heroes that have been buff include Shadow Shaman, with Level 10 Talent Shackles total damage bonus increased from 140 to 155. The mana cost for Ether Shock is now 100/115/130/145 from 100/120/140/160.

Another support hero was also fortunate to receive buffs. Warlock gets the following changes:

  • Upheaval
    • Max Damage per second increased from 30/50/70/90 to 35/60/85/110.
  • Chaotic Offering
    • Golem Armor increased from 6/9/12 to 8/12/14.
