Diablo III Season 24 will launch on July 23, at 8 p.m. EST. It will start just a few days after Patch 2.7.1 is released. So, what does Blizzard have in store for players this coming season?

Ethereals

If you have played Diablo II before, then you may have come across some Ethereal gear. These are powerful items that cannot be destroyed even through countless hours of use. They also have unique characteristics that are not found in any other equipment in the game.

Well, the developers are bringing Ethereal weapons back into the game in Season 24. Here are some of the things that you should know about them:

  • They are account bound and can only be acquired from chests, destructibles, and monsters. Ethereals can drop at any level, which means that characters need not be at level 70 to get their hands on them.
  • Drop rate for Ethreals is on par with Ancient and Primal items
  • There are three unique Ethereals per class. All of them have fixed affixes and rolls one random Legendary Weapon power and one random Class passive skill
  • Only one Ethereal can be equipped at a time

Haedrig’s Gift

Players can acquire class set pieces through Haedrig’s Gift by completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 in the Season Journey.

Only one complete Class Set will be given this way, so players would have to make sure that they’re starting the season with the class they want to play with first.

Since Class Sets from Haedrig’s Gifts rotate every season, here are the sets that players can expect to get in Season 24:

  • Monk: Uliana’s Stratagem
  • Demon Hunter: Natalya’s Vengeance
  • Crusader: Seeker of the Light
  • Wizard: Vyr’s Amazing Arcana
  • Barbarian: Immortal King’s Call
  • Witch Doctor: Spirit of Arachyr
  • Necromancer: Trag’Oul’s Avatar

Seasonal Cosmetic Rewards

The Diablo III “Seasons” feature has been around for quite some time and it is understandable that players may have missed some season-exclusive items in the past.

This time around, players will have the chance to acquire some items that were originally available in Season 12. This means that the Chest and Gloves from the Conqueror set, as well as the portraits themed around the High Heavens, will be available once again.

In addition, players who complete the entirety of the Season Journey will be rewarded with the Terror Resurrected Portrait and also the Lesser Mummy Pet.

Preorder Rewards

Diablo II: Resurrected will be out in a couple of months and people can preorder the game today. Those who have done so are eligible to receive the Heritage of Arreat transmog - a Barbarian transmog set inspired by the classic game. The set will be available on July 20 for Diablo III players once Patch 2.7.1 goes live.
