Patch 2.7.5 for Diablo III is now available on the public test realm. This update allows you to test the features to be implemented in Season 28.

Main Theme

The biggest thing that’s coming to Diablo III Season 28 is the Rites of Sanctuary mechanic. Apparently, a hunting expedition found an ominous altar in the mysterious ruins of the Festering Woods. This is called the Altar of Rites and you can interact with it starting at level one.

The Altar of Rites looks like a complicated skill tree but it’s actually simpler than you think. Basically, the idea here is that there are 26 icons called Seals and another three Legendary Potion Powers. These things provide different bonuses, so unlocking them makes your Diablo III character much more powerful.

To unlock a seal, you must sacrifice whatever items the altar requires of you. The first seal, for example, needs you to sacrifice 10 Reusable Parts, which is actually quite easy to do. Just get some normal rarity gear and salvage them via the blacksmith. The sacrifice requirements get a bit more demanding as you go down the tree.

Now, to unlock the Legendary Potion Power, you must sacrifice a number of Primordial Ashes. To get these, you must salvage a Primal Item for 55 Primordial Ashes. For those who don’t know, Primal Items in Diablo III are improved versions of Ancient Items with perfectly rolled stats. As you can tell, these items are hard to come by, so unlocking these Legendary Potion Powers may take a lot of time to accomplish.

With that out of the way, here are the things that you need to sacrifice to unlock the seals in Patch 2.7.5:

  • 1: 10 Reusable Parts
  • 2: 1 Flawless Diamond (or greater), 15 Arcane Dust, 20 Reusable Parts
  • 3: 1 Greater Rift Key, 10 Death's Breaths
