If you are a huge fan of Dead by Daylight, then you should hop into the game’s player test build (PTB) today because there is a new survivor in town and her name is Mikaela Reid.

Reid is equipped with really special perks, one of which is the Boon: Circle of Healing. This perk blesses a Dull or Hex Totem and turns it into a Boon Totem that grants a 90% healing speed bonus to any survivor within its 28-meter area of effect. In addition, survivors inside the totem’s effective range can heal themselves without using a Med-Kit. This can be overpowering, as said by some users.

Killer Updates

Back then, the number of bear traps that may spawn in each trial is anywhere between four and six. The devs have changed some things to make the Trapper more enticing to use. For instance, there will now be six bear traps constantly spawning in every match. Furthermore, the Trapper can now carry two bear traps instead of one. All these changes take away the randomness of playing this killer, making things more consistent.

There are some adjustments to the Spirit as well. It has always been a strong contender, so the changes made will not only make her a bit more challenging to use, but will also help survivors react to her abilities more readily than before.

In Patch 5.3.0, any survivor within 24 meters of the Spirit will now hear a phase sound, allowing them to pinpoint her exact location so that they can react accordingly. Moreover, even when the Spirit is phasing, her footsteps will kick up dust, giving off visuals. However, you can hide your footsteps behind certain obstacles like the tall grass, for example.

Updated Perks

Killers are not the only ones who are getting updated. You can expect a huge list of adjusted perks in the current PTB. Here are just some of them:

  • Vigil
    • Recovery rate increased to 20/25/30%. It also now increases the recovery rate of certain status effects, such as Broken, Exposed, and Oblivious.
  • For the People
    • Decreases the duration of Broken to 80/70/60 seconds.
  • Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
    • Extends the speed penalty from Cleansing to Blessing
