The upcoming mecha action shooter Daemon X Machina has just received a launch trailer, with just a little over a month left until its release. The 2 minute 20 second clip from developer Marvelous First Studio and publisher Nintendo showcased the game’s main characters.

Daemon X Machina tells a planet’s struggle against a sentient A.I. uprising that started when it collided with a moon. This cataclysmic event, which radiated special energy, turned artificial intelligence against humanity. With the planet at the brink of collapse, their salvation rests upon a group of pilots that commandeer technologically advanced mechs, calling themselves The Outers. This unique and highly skilled group holds within them mysterious powers after being affected by the special energy. They will now act as humanity’s chosen protectors and guardians as the war with the Arms of Immortals wages on.

Daemon X Machina is a third-person shooter game which has players assuming control of their very own customizable avatar. They will then board their fully customizable mechanized battle suit, also known as Arsenal, and battle a wide range of enemies like zooming tanks, pesky drones, sentient robots, gigantic dreadnoughts and more. These battles will be set in a number of environments such as a torn-down city and a robot base in the middle of the desert.

The game’s main selling point arguably is its customization features, which include personalization options for your own Avatar and for your Arsenal, which can be equipped with different weapons on its arms and shoulders.

Fans of shooters and mech-destruction should look out for Daemon X Machina once it arrives for the Nintendo Switch. The game will be available on the Nintendo eShop on September 13.
