"Stardew Valley" creator ConcernedApe has shared a new look at his next upcoming game, "Haunted Chocolatier," in the form of a single screenshot.
This image features a new look into his upcoming simulation game which is awaited by the massive global fanbase of the "Stardew Valley" title, and those who follow ConcernedApe's developments.
The question now is if this new screenshot is any indication that the game is releasing soon, especially as ConcernedApe previously revealed that "Haunted Chocolatier's" development will take a significant amount of time.
ConcernedApe Shares New 'Haunted Chocolatier' Screenshot
A new post shared by Eric Barone, otherwise known as ConcernedApe, gave fans the latest look at "Haunted Chocolatier." The game has been discussed by Barone over the past years, but there are still no concrete details or updates to it since it was first confirmed by the developer.
The existing screenshots shared by Barone on the "Haunted Chocolatier's" official website from many years ago have been the only official clue to what the game will look like.
So far, this single screenshot from Barone is the biggest update the world has received regarding the new game apart from the interviews and podcasts the developer has participated in before.

Barone's latest "Haunted Chocolatier" screenshot only shows a person staring into a flowing river that is in the middle of two forest-like areas. It also shows off a giant treehouse in the middle of the image, with the tree seemingly hollowed inside to create space.
According to GameRant's report, the screenshot shared by ConcernedApe shows off a new art style that he has been developing over the years. That being said, it is important to note that it still has significant similarities to "Stardew Valley," but there are several differences from his work on the previous game to this new one.
Is 'Haunted Chocolatier' Close to Releasing?
The image shows no details or explanations, and it only indicates that it is a screenshot from the "Haunted Chocolatier" based on the logo alongside it. This picture does not indicate any other details or information for gamers, and it also does not mean that the game is close to releasing anytime soon.
It has already been five years since Barone announced that he began working on "Haunted Chocolatier," and he previously admitted that the game will continue to be under development for the years to come.
ConcernedApe previously said in a podcast that he plans to finish "Haunted Chocolatier" in the next five years or so, placing the game's possible release date on or before 2030.
Barone likewise claimed that there are more things that he needs to work on for the game, with this timeline making "Haunted Chocolatier's" development 10 years in the making.
