"Starfield" is getting a new DLC in the future, and this has been recently confirmed by Bethesda Game Studios.
Alongside this, Bethesda also claims that there will be upcoming free updates to the game that will help improve its gameplay, experiences, and other aspects.
'Starfield' New DLC Confirmed by Bethesda
In the latest Developer Spotlight with Bethesda Game Studios' Tim Lamb, the executive has confirmed a massive development for the game, and it is the arrival of a future DLC.
The company has just come back from releasing the first DLC of the game, "Starfield: Shattered Space," which was made available in September 2024, but this failed to overturn its earlier misfortunes.
While "Shattered Space" gained good reception from critics and players, it was not a significant change for the game as many still found it lacking in certain areas that they had already found earlier in the base title. "Starfield" itself is already a massive game, but the DLC expanded it to deliver more stories and adventures for players to enjoy, but it did not quite land its target amongst players.
Despite this, Bethesda is still not giving up. The latest developer spotlight only goes to show that the development team and its creators are still on board with "Starfield's" development and giving players more experiences. While Lamb did not dive deep into what "Starfield's" next DLC would be all about, he teases that there are more "cool" experiences coming for players in its next release.
'Starfield' Free Updates
Alongside the new DLC, Lamb also mentioned that there is more content to look forward to in the future, which will expand more of what "Starfield" will deliver to players.
First, there will be free updates shared with gamers soon, bringing forth new gameplay enhancements and improvements, as well as new game system and "smaller delights" planned for the title.
Similar to what Lamb explained above, there are still no exact details on what the team at Bethesda is working on at present for "Starfield's" future, but they promised that these will bring more of what players have been asking and looking for.
