A new clan activity is now available on the popular ARPG Diablo Immortal via the latest update.
Conquer the Towers
Are you looking for a new activity that you can do with your clanmates? Well, the Accursed Towers is now open in Diablo Immortal, a new game mode where clans will vie for control over these towers.
During the first week of a new season, your clan leader can choose an Accursed Tower to conquer anywhere between Monday at 3 a.m. to Saturday at 7 p.m. server time. After that, you and your clanmates are tasked to purify the towers by collecting Cursed Shards.
The shards can be obtained by killing the demonic horde inside. Before you can slay them, however, you need to locate and activate the tower’s Curse Sources. Doing so will make the enemies vulnerable, making them ripe for the kill.
The idea here is to collect as many Cursed Shards as possible. Your clan can do as many Accursed Tower runs as possible during the week. If your group has collected the most Cursed Shards among others vying for that specific tower by Saturday at 7 p.m. server time, your clan will claim the tower.
It’s important to note that only one tower is claimable in the first week of a season. That said, because the first season of the Accursed Towers has begun mid-week, the schedule for the first week differs from subsequent seasons. You can find the details below:
- March 30 after maintenance period to March 31 at 3 a.m. server time: The Clan Leader will decide which tower they would like to try to claim.
- March 31, 3 a.m. to April 1, 7 p.m. server time: Collect Cursed Shards at chosen tower.
- April 1, 7 p.m. server time: Cursed Shard Clan totals are counted and the Clan with the most at each tower claims that tower.
Rewards
Your clan has conquered a tower? What rewards can you expect? Every time you participate, you’ll be given Contribution Points which can be exchanged for a Legendary Contribution Chest. This chest contains different goodies, including Legendary Crests, Reforge Stones, Legendary Items, and new Cursed Items.
According to Blizzard, Cursed Items in Diablo Immortal have a positive and negative property attached to them. Neither one of these will activate unless you have at least one other Cursed Item equipped that shares the same positive property. If you have two Cursed Items equipped, you’ll receive positive and negative property effects from both. Additionally, positive properties grow stronger as you equip multiple Cursed Items with the same positive property, with increases occurring at four and six items.
So, in essence, Cursed Items provide you with extremely powerful bonuses but you also take their negative effects into account.
