The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Prestige Shop is Open For Business

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War announced that the Prestige Shop is now live. With the use of Prestige Keys, players can unlock a bunch of rewards at the Shop.

To access the Prestige Shop, players need to first earn a Prestige Key. Once they have that, they can then visit the Shop through the Progression menu in the Barracks. Players can earn their first Prestige Key at Level 1. Prestige Keys are then earned every 50 Season Levels across each season.

For Season One, the Prestige Shop is offering two types of rewards. These are:

  • Prestige Icons
  • Available to unlock using Prestige Keys after reaching Prestige Master in a season.
  • These include icons from World at War and previous Black Ops games.
    • Each includes a custom Prestige Icon, a Sticker, and an Emblem.
  • Players may only equip a Legacy Prestige Icon after reaching Prestige Master in a season.
    • The Emblem and Sticker can be equipped at any time.
  • Calling Cards
    • Legacy Calling Cards
      • Available to unlock using Prestige Keys as soon as the player enters Prestige.
      • These include Calling Cards from previous Call of Duty games.
    • Prestige Calling Cards
      • Available to unlock using Prestige Keys as soon as the player enters Prestige.
      • These include Prestige Calling Cards from previous Call of Duty games, and becomes available when a player reaches the Prestige Level associated with the Legacy Prestige Calling Card.
        • For example, Prestige 1 Legacy Calling Cards are available to unlock at Prestige 1, Prestige 2 Legacy Calling Cards at Prestige 2, and so on.
      • Once a player spends a Prestige Key to acquire a Calling Card, players may equip it at any time.
  • Prestige Master Calling Cards
    • Available to unlock using Prestige Keys after reaching Prestige Master in a season.
    • These include Animated Legacy Calling Cards and Blackout Prestige Cards.

New Updates

Besides the new Prestige Shop, some updates dropped in. In multiplayer for example, changes include:

  • Modes
    • Prop Hunt
      • Reduced how late a player can join a session in progress.
      • Increased the whistle audio distance for Props.
  • Challenges
    • Updated the Challenge description for "One Shot One Kill" and "Collateral Damage" to better clarify how to earn these Challenges.
  • ​Medals
    • Addressed an issue with the Collateral Medal not being earnable if the player dies immediately after killing 2 enemies with one shot.
  • Updated the Popcorn Medal to include the M79.
