With the month of love over, Mayhem is arriving to Borderlands 3 in March. Specifically, Borderlands 3 is set to introduce its second campaign add-on dubbed Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock. This new content arrives on March 26.

So what's going to happen? Well, the title says it all. Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs have finally made the decision to tie the knot and are inviting everyone to celebrate with them on the ice planet of Xylourgos. Indeed, the venue is as exotic as possible, as the frozen wastes of Xylourgos have thinned out most of the vicious wildlife. There's also the town of Cursehaven that lies under the huge carcass of a fallen monster.

However, once they get to Xylourgos, longtime fans of the game are sure to be happy as they see a familiar face in Gaige. For those who will recall, Gaige is the genius Mechromancer that arrived in Borderlands 2's DLC. She has been on the run for years accompanied by Deathtrap, her loyal robot pal. Despite that, she never leaves her friends hanging and has agreed to be the wedding planner.

While everyone wishes for the wedding to go off without any hitches, this one appears to have one of the grooms cross paths with a band of occultists that worship the Vault Monster's corpse. Players need to beat mutated and tentacled zealots in order to make sure that the wedding proceeds as planned. Expect new loot like additional Legendaries, supremely powerful Class Mods, and even new cosmetic items that include Vault Hunter Heads and Skins. Then there’s also the interactive Room Decorations, along with new Vehicle Skins.

Upcoming Content

Borderlands 3 also gave a sneak peek at the third campaign add-on set to release this summer. Gearbox really didn't give any details, except that it's going to involve outlaws and dinosaurs.

While March is all about the new content, April is going to offer something new as well. April sees Mayhem Mode 2.0, which comes with overhauled modifiers and even more loot and mayhem. In the same month there is also Revenge of the Cartels. This free in-game event has players take out cartel operatives in order to earn unique event rewards. May is going to have Guardian Takedown. It offers an Eridian-themed takedown and new challenging bosses.

Excited yet for what’s coming in Borderlands 3?
