The end is near for the Bleach manga. The combined 36th and 37th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump will announce the end of Tite Kubo’s story about Shinigami to be the following issue, which drops on Aug. 22.

According to Anime News Network , the issue of Shonen Jump, dropping Aug. 8, will have an important announcement regarding the Bleach manga.

It was teased at the end of July that the story would be coming to an end very soon and that Volume 74 would be the last one for Bleach . However, it is now confirmed that the final Bleach volume would be coming out in the Fall.

Now that the final issue date is known, fans have only two more chapters with Ichigo, Rukia and the rest of the Bleach gang.

The Bleach manga entered its final arc back in February 2012 when the Quincies made their move on Soul Society following the events of the Aizen Arc and the Fullbring Arc, which was much maligned by fans of the series.

The Bleach anime inspired by the manga ran 366 episodes from 2004 to 2012, with Viz Media obtaining the video and television rights in 2006. That’s when the Bleach anime began its English-dubbed run where it was a staple in Adult Swim’s programming from 2006 to 2014.

Bleach stood as one of the three pillars of Shonen Jump since its creation alongside One Piece and Naruto . While One Piece is still going strong over 800 chapters in, the original Naruto manga ended its run in 2015 and is now spinning off into a monthly manga featuring a new cast and a new artist.

Perhaps we’ll get a spin-off of the main Bleach story as well. Fans will have to wait until next week to find out what this important announcement is.

In the meantime, let us know if you are happy or sad to see Bleach end and what your predictions for this announcement are in the comments section below.
