Attention truckers! Just in case some of you have forgotten, today marks the launch of the Wyoming DLC for the American Truck Simulator. Prepare to experience natural beauty with the state’s national parks. While on the job, players can expect to see the likes of red-walled gorges, hot springs, historic prairie towns, pioneer history, and even historical attractions.

Wyoming is the tenth state to be added to the game. While no date has been revealed, the next one is going to be Texas.

For the Wyoming DLC, here’s what players can expect:

  • Deliver to and from 10 cities and discover 14 settlements.
  • Discover and deliver to Wyoming's important industries like coal and soda ash, farms and agriculture, and railyards.
  • Haul livestock cargo to new cattle auction houses.
  • Drive on the Highway to Heaven.
  • Haul cargo on the I-80, the second-longest Interstate highway in the US.
  • See wildlife unique to Wyoming including bison.
  • Visit landmarks like Devils Tower National Monument and part of the Yellowstone National Park.
  • Admire accurate representations of cities like Cheyenne, Casper, Jackson, and Sheridan.

New Event

In celebration of the new DLC, developer SCS Software has launched the Cruising Wyoming Event, which runs until November 7. The event tasks the community to drive 80 million miles in the state.

However, it won’t be simply driving. For the miles driven to be counted, you need to use External Contracts or the External Market and have a World of Trucks-connected profile. The jobs need to be at least 100 miles each and truckers must finish the delivery to or from each of the 10 cities in Wyoming.

Those who join the event get a personal World of Trucks Achievement along with a Wyoming Bison-themed ATS truck paint job Steam inventory item. When the community meets the objective, truckers who were able to achieve their personal goal get the hanging Jade Bison ornament Steam inventory item.

American Truck Simulator was developed by SCS Software and made available solely on PC. The game was released with the states of California and Nevada. Arizona was the third state added as a free update. More states have been added to the game as paid DLCs.
