Let’s start by greeting American Truck Simulator a fifth Happy Birthday! The game was released on February 2, 2016. In celebration of this milestone, the game is introducing a feature that many in the community have long requested. Players get to access the new chassis options for all the current trucks with the arriving Update 1.40.

New Chassis Options
The upcoming update is welcoming long and short chassis types, which let players customize their truck for the task at hand. It’s going to feature the 4x2s, also called single-axle trucks. This type is typically used for local distribution deliveries by supermarkets as well as logistic companies when hauling doubles.
Then, there’s the 8x4 and 8x6 chassis that are considered the big guns. With these, players can handle any load that needs to be hauled.

Hauling Hope Event
While waiting for the new update, players can still take on the Hauling Hope Event. In the real world, the pandemic is still ongoing but vaccines are rolling out in different parts of the world.
That’s the objective of this new event where players need to deliver vaccines undamaged. These rather fragile cargoes have zero-damage tolerance and require Fragile Cargo skill level 1.
Players who manage to deliver at least seven COVID-19 Vaccine cargo get:
- A World of Trucks Achievement.
- A prestigious Hope Trucker Insiginia.
- This cabin item can be hanged in your truck.
