AFK Arena has launched its Halloween event titled “Horror and Beauty from Another World.” It’s not just a simple event though, as Horror and Beauty from Another World adds none other than the ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. That’s right, Ainz Ooal Gown is joining the cast. He won’t be alone as Overseer Albedo is also arriving with him.
The two can be accessed through in-game purchases and are able to join a player’s squad from October 29 to November 30. After that, the two can then be exchange for in-game currency starting from December 22 through December 28.
For those not familiar, Ainz Ooal Gown and Albedo are characters in the Overlord series. The anime series has so far released three seasons, totaling 39 episodes.
In AFK Arena, both Ainz Ooal Gown and Albedo come with some of their signature attacks and abilities. Ainz Ooal Gown, for example, can deal a large amount of damage to all enemy targets with a single attack through his Ultimate “Fallen Down.” He also comes equipped with “Steady Preparations.” This is a shield that he has at the start of each battle and it not only makes him immune to control abilities, but also give him extra energy points along with attacks and defensive boosts.
Albedo, meanwhile, can teleport herself into the middle of an enemy group and then deal area of effect damage. Her “Black Guard” ability helps the squad by giving a shield to an ally that has the lowest amount of HP. However, if Ainz Ooal Gown is part of the team, Albedo is always going to prioritize him.
The addition of these two new characters aren’t the only thing coming with the Halloween Event. It’s going to offer an incredible fan experience, one that’s packed with puzzles and valuable rewards. There are even new maps which players can explore.
Enter the Realm of Denial
Players also get the chance to bring their Heroes on the Halloween-themed Voyage of Wonders to “The Realm of Denial.” This is a space that lies in the middle of Espria and the land of the dead. What happens is that each year there is an opening which forms in this space and allows wandering lost souls to enter the land of the living. This time around, however, it seems that Lailah and Elijah, the Celestial Twins of Esperia, are entering the realm to help its lost spirits complete whatever unfinished business they may have.
For players, they can enter the realm from October 30 to November 12. As part of the event, Lailah and Elijah have their own ‘Tango D’ Anima’ Halloween-themed skins. That’s not all, as players can also exchange their Circus Medals for the new skins in the Gift Cart Event. Players can also buy them directly with a discount offered until November 3.
