The next chapter for Cal Kestis' journey may be revealed soon as insiders claim that "Star Wars Jedi 3" may be officially confirmed and shared with fans soon via the upcoming gaming showcases slated this summer.

'Star Wars Jedi 3' May Be Revealed Soon

In a new episode of "Insider Gaming Weekly," the show's hosts speculated that "Star Wars Jedi 3" could make an appearance in the upcoming gaming showcases from companies like PlayStation, Sony, and more.

While not guaranteed to be shown, the insiders claim that the gap between "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" and "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" has been four years. Assuming that the same span of time plays out between "Survivor" and the third entry, this would lead to the game launching in 2027.

It can be recalled that when "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" was launched back in 2023, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts previously claimed that its next installment is on its way.

Since then, no substantial information has surfaced about the project, but that silence could be about to end.

'Star Wars Jedi 3' May Be Unveiled Via These Events

The three possible showcases where the reveal could happen all fall within the same general window. Summer Game Fest takes place on June 6, followed by the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. PlayStation has also confirmed a new State of Play is happening on June 2, making this one of the busiest summers for game announcements in many years.

According to ComicBook Gaming's speculation, the main thing that could prevent "Star Wars Jedi 3" from being revealed is the existence of plenty of new titles under the galactic franchise.

First, there is "Star Wars: Galactic Racer," which is set to release later this year, and Respawn itself is co-developing the strategy game "Star Wars: Zero Company."

With this, the development studio may want to get "Zero Company" out first before it turns its attention "Star Wars Jedi 3."

What to Expect From 'Star Wars Jedi 3'?

Co-host and gaming insider Tom Henderson shared that he had previously heard "Star Wars Jedi 3" would focus on an older version of Cal Kestis. Although there was a time jump between the first two installments in the series, Henderson's wording suggests that the gap between the second and third games will be much more substantial.

As such, the game could focus on a version of Kestis in his mid-30s or mid-40s and potentially have the story take place after the events of "Return of the Jedi."

Outside Respawn's "Star Wars Jedi" series, more projects under the franchise are on their way, including a remake of "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" over at Saber Interactive.

Moreover, there is also the "Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic," which was officially confirmed last December.
