It’s Xur day, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found standing in The Reef
It’s been an exciting week for the Destiny community. Rise Of Iron is finally out on PS4 and Xbox One, bringing a cornucopia of new missions, collectibles and other activities for players to participate in. The game’s next raid goes live in a few hours, guaranteeing plenty of folks will be trying to build fireteams on the LFG sub-reddit and DestinyLFG for the next few days (maybe weeks). And everyone’s favorite exotic equipment vendor has returned for his weekly item sale. Fortunately, there's at least one piece of new gear on Xur's inventory sheet this weekend.
Last week, Xur disappointed many in the Destiny community with a collection of exotic items we’ve seen countless times over the last two years. The Agent of the Nine’s trips are always that disappointing. In fact, earlier this month Xur generated quite a bit of excitement in the Destiny community by offering The Last Word in his shop. But last week wasn’t nearly as exciting, with regularly-seen items like No Backup Plans and Heart of the Praxic Fire taking up most of the space in Xur’s inventory. Hunters did at least get a chance to buy the ATS/8 Tarantella — a first, to our knowledge — but everyone else was pretty much out of luck.
Here’s everything Xur is selling the Destiny community Sept. 23 - 25:
Twilight Garrison
- Defense: 350
- Intellect: 57/82
- Discipline: 56/81
- Press O/B,O/B while airborne to evade
- Increased Recovery for 5 seconds after taking Solar splash damage
- Carry more ammo for Special Weapons
Celestial Nighthawk
- Defense: 350
- Intellect: 39/58
- Strength: 45/64
- Golden Gun fires one shot with 6x damage, while granting Keyhole for overpenetration
- Gain bonus Super energy on Grenade kills
- Replenish health when you pick up an Orb
Transversive Steps
- Defense: 350
- Discipline: 50/73
- Strength: 53/76
- Faster movement speed while crouching. Ammo pickups automatically reload that weapon type.
- Increased Agility for 5 seconds after a Solar Double kill
- Carry more ammo for Special Weapons
Monte Carlo
- Attack: 350
- Magazine: 36
- Dealing damage with this weapon reduces your melee cooldown and grants a chance to fully charge your melee ability with each kill
- This weapon has bonus accuracy while firing from the hip
Legacy Engram - Gauntlet
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks. And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with green and blue contrails available this week, along with Motes of Light, Heavy Ammo Synthesis and Glass Needles. Xur is also selling weapon ornaments this weekend. Players have two options, one for the Monte Carlo and one for the Khvostov 7G-0X, each of which cost 25 Silver Dust.
