It’s Xur day, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found in Tower Hangar, standing in the lounge at the bottom of the stairs
We’ve reached the end of another incredible week in the video game industry. PlayStation VR has been on store shelves for a full seven days. The first details on this year’s Festival of the Lost were released by Bungie and some of the world’s best Destiny: Rise Of Iron players have already taken down the Heroic version of the Wrath of the Machine raid. Nintendo unveiled the Switch, the upcoming console/portable hybrid formerly known as NX, on Thursday morning. Rockstar both confirmed the existence of Red Dead Redemption 2 and published the first RDR2 teaser trailer in the span of a few days. And now Xur has returned to the Destiny servers with a new set of curios, exotic items and weapon ornaments to sell.
Last week, Xur’s visit to the Tower was a bit of a disappointment. Yes, the Agent of the Nine had a fresh set of Year 3 exotics to sell and few were going to turn down the chance to purchase an alternate Trespasser from the exotic item vendor. But the rest of the gear being sold by Xur last weekend were just refreshed versions of items we’ve seen dozens of times. That fact probably didn’t dissuade some Destiny players from buying an item or two, in an effort to reach Light level 370 a bit faster, but let’s hope there’s some new equipment on Xur’s inventory sheet this week.

Legacy Engram - Helmet
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks. And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with green and blue contrails available this week, along with Motes of Light, Heavy Ammo Synthesis and Glass Needles.
Xur is also selling weapon ornaments again this weekend. Players have two options:
- Heart of Gold - Changes the appearance of Truth
- Fallen Assassin - Changes the appearance of Trespasser
