In How To Get Away With Murder Season 3 episode 1, which airs at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC, Annalise has chosen her “Keating Five” students to be apart of a third-year law clinic, where they will tackle cases as actual lawyers instead of law students. Before Wes, Connor, Michaela, Laurel and Asher can get too excited about their new responsibilities, a new mystery lands at their feet. All around the law school campus are fliers with Annalise’s face printed above the word “killer.”

The Season 2 finale was filled with countless twists and turns, including Wes meeting his biological father, who was then immediately killed by an unknown sniper. Could this be who Annalise is accused of killing? We know from the prior season that Wallace Mahoney as a client of Annalise’s and he was partially responsible for the crash that caused Annalise to lose her unborn child 20 years prior.
HTGAWM creator Pete Nowalk told Variety viewers will find out who killed Wallace Mahoney early on and Wes will struggle after the death of his father, despite having not known him.
Annalise’s employee, Frank, is currently missing and his whereabouts are supposedly very dark. Viewers should expect to see more about Frank and Annalise’s relationship throughout Season 3. We know from Season 2 that Frank accepted money from Wallace Mahoney several years ago to spy on Annalise.
