These 'Resident Evil' Items Are a Challenge to Unlock But Are Very Much Worth The Effort

Do you remember the pain of unlocking these items?

The grind is real when it comes to unlocking specific items that are known for offering significant boosts or advantages to the gameplay, and this is something Capcom has done across the "Resident Evil" franchise.

Some of the best items in the game are locked behind iconic and mind-blowing challenges that serve as a different kind of test, even to super fans and dedicated players.

The pain of earning them is very real. So is the payoff.

Cat Ears From 'Resident Evil 4 Remake'

"Resident Evil 4's" remake gave one of the best cosmetics in the franchise, but as much as Leon S. Kennedy looks really good with the "cat ears" item, it is a significantly helpful and functional tool in the game as it grants infinite ammo to weapons except the Rocket Launcher.

To get the Cat Ears, you need to finish "Resident Evil 4" Remake on Professional difficulty and get an S+ ranking. This means users need to complete the game in under 5 and a half hours, limit saves to under 15, and complete it using a fresh save, which means no New Game+ mode.

Infinite Ammo From 'Resident Evil 7'

Capcom

"Resident Evil 7" offers Infinite Ammo as well, but players need to grind hard for it. This is because players need to finish and beat the game on Madhouse difficulty, which only offers limited saves, having reshuffled item locations all throughout, and more powerful enemies.

"RE 7" is already one of the most challenging and scariest games in the franchise, and Madhouse significantly increases the challenge for players. Under this difficulty, Ethan Winters can instantly be killed with a single hit from a Molded, so players need to know the layout of the game almost perfectly to survive.

Handcannon From 'Resident Evil 4'

There is no denying that the Handcannon is one of the most powerful weapons in "Resident Evil 4" as it can kill most enemies with only one shot. However, getting this revolver is no easy feat, as players on "Resident Evil 4" need to earn five stars on all available characters under every "Mercenaries" stage.

To get five stars, players need to continue a combo streak throughout the Mercenaries stage of each character, and it is widely known that the maps under this are large and maintaining a combo is hard.

Katana From 'Resident Evil: Revelations 2'

Capcom

"Resident Evil: Revelations" is famous for its Invisible Mode, where all enemies are invisible and only Natalia's ability can point them out where they are for a brief time. As challenging as this difficulty is, it is also the required one that needs to be enabled to obtain the katana in the game to slice through enemies with ease.

Completing the game will reward players with the katana, but it remains a massive challenge as the Invisible Mode is infamously one of the most demanding challenges in the franchise.
