Warframe Operation Scarlet Spear Is Now Live

Warframe might be a free-to-play game developed by a small company, however it receives post-launch content like it is a full-priced AAA game. Developer Digital Extremes recently released a massive update that brings a new event in the game called Operation: Scarlet Spear. The event will be playable from March 24 to April 21.

The latest event will bring new challenges. One of the tougher enemies, The Sentient, will try to hijack the players' spaceship. These enemies are more difficult and smarter than your average baddies. Players will have to work together if they want to stop the Sentients from disabling ship systems. Normally Warframe is played with a four-player squad, but given how hard AF these Sentinels are, you will require more hands on deck.

The update will let you team up with another squad (thanks to the OpLink). Those two teams will run two missions simultaneously in order to achieve victory. OpLink, also known as Operation Link, was first revealed at Tennocon 2019. The update will also add more stuff as time goes by, and the complete list is mentioned below.

    • A device used to manage coordination and resources during Operation Link missions.
  • Basmu Blueprint
    • This Sentient war instrument can either barrage targets with explosive bolts, or draw on its regenerative battery to create twin plasma beams that chain through targets. When fully drained, Health is leached from nearby foes for a short period.
  • Ceti Lacera Blueprint
    • Forged for veterans of the Scarlet Spear conflict, this Lacera has been modified to enhance nimbleness and lethality.
  • Warframe Arcanes (Unranked)
  • Phased Clan Sigil
  • Glyphed Clan Sigil
  • Gilded Clan Sigil
  • Scarlet Spear Hologram Decorations
    • Murex Console
      • A Sentient Murex projection for the Orbiter.
    • Earth Console
      • A planet Earth projection for the Orbiter.
  • The Ballroom Simulacrum
    • A new arena for the Simulacrum. Who will you invite to dance?
  • Stance Forma
    • Modifies a Stance slot on a Melee weapon to be compatible with any Mod Polarity.

The new update will also offer more missions, weapon variants, medals, and what not. Remember to enjoy the new operation before it disappears on April 21. That’s not all, as the new operation makes several balancing changes and bug fixes as well. You can read all about it on the official forum.

So what do you think? Are you excited about the new Operation? Do you have a squad ready for the new missions? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
