War Thunder: Update Brings Improvements to Armored Vehicles

Some important fixes and improvements have been introduced in War Thunder’s latest update. Update has fixed the issue of final blows not being credited to the right unit and reload problems with some tank SPAAs, among others.

Reload Issue

Some vehicles with self-propelled anti-aircraft weapons (SPAA) have problems in their reload mechanics.

You see, there is this issue where the SIDAM 25, Chieftain Marksman, PGZ09, and other armored vehicles will reload their ammo even though there is still some left in the magazine. This will put you at a disadvantage, especially when you really need your tanks to fire at the enemy, or else you will get destroyed.

Thankfully, the developers at Gaijin Entertainment have implemented the fix for this, so this will no longer be a problem moving forward.

Vehicles Are Not Credited Properly

Some situations require you to play nicely with others so that you can take out enemies on sight. That being said, there was this minor problem where the kill is credited not to the person who has dealt the last shot, but to the one who has fired at the enemy before them.

While providing assistance to squadmates is necessary to win the battle, this may lead to some being frustrated. Whether you are affected by it, this has been resolved by the patch.

Switching Sights Improved

When you are in the heat of battle, every second counts. There was a delay before this patch where switching between the commander’s sights and the gunner’s sights would lead you to lose some precious seconds - time that you may not have at a given moment.

Because this has been reported by a lot of people who have keen eyesight, the matter has been fixed by the developers.
