As developer Gaijin Entertainment is ramping up its efforts for the upcoming DLC, Direct Hit, a relatively small update was released for War Thunder. It fixes client errors and nuclear weapons, among other things.
Client Errors Fixed
There are certain instances where quitting the game would result in a client crash. It can also happen when you’re in spectator mode in the aircraft arcade battles.
If you have experienced several client errors and crashing issues, you will be happy to know that Update 2.7.0.229 has fixed them.
Nuclear Weapons Not Exploding
It is a challenging endeavor to accrue enough points to get an aircraft equipped with nuclear weaponry. So, it is frustrating if the nuclear bomb that it carries does not detonate as intended.
Apparently, there is an issue where the nuclear siren will not go off when you’re launching a nuclear strike aircraft, and thus, will result in the nuclear bomb not exploding when dislodged from the plane.
Fortunately, the developers were quick to address this issue and have now fixed the problem in the recent update.

- A probable issue with the error message after quitting the game client has been fixed
- A bug has been fixed that could lead to a crash when in the spectator mode in the Arcade battles
- Pe-2-31, Pe-2-83, Pe-2-110, Pe-2-359: Ammo capacity of the ShKAS machine gun has been changed from 450 to 430
- AH-1S (early): Radar warning system has been added
- A-4E (early): Bombing release computer for CCRP has been added
- Fairmile C (312): Start battle camera position has been corrected (previously was turned to stern); maximum ammo capacity of the 40mm guns in battle has been changed
- HMAS Tobruk: The year of ship modification has been changed to 1950
While the changes introduced in the latest patch are not much, the developers did their best to fix many annoying issues in the game.
