Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden Coming Out September 13

Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden is launching digitally this September 13 on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. This is the newest addition to the Voice of Cards RPG franchise. The game offers a standalone experience not only to new players but also to the fans of the previous titles.

Pre-orders are now available for Switch and Steam. Those who purchase the game between September 1 and October 3, get the Iron Avatar DLC that unlocks an avatar design with a lustrous iron color. They also get the Somber Girl’s Abstract Pattern DLC, which unlocks a card that has the reverse patterned after the back view of the game’s heroine as early purchase rewards.

A New Story

Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden introduces players to an illustrated world presented through the medium of cards. This time, players get the ability to trap the monsters they defeat in cards and use them as skills in battle. The game also allows players to experience a new story set in a world where a millennium of hatred continues to rage between monsters and humans. In this world, a girl loses her home and swears revenge on monsters. She is joined by a mysterious boy and the two set out into the unknown and unravel the fate of the broken world.

Fans of the previous games of the series should be happy to know that the creative minds behind this new title are the same ones responsible for the likes of Voice of Cards games, NieR series, and Drakengard series. They include:
