A lot of people like to say that the sky’s the limit but for El President, that’s just another obstacle that needs to be hurdled. This is what the latest add-on released by Tropico 6 is all about. Titled Caribbean Skies, it’s said to be the largest to date. It's bringing a lot of new content to the game.

Let’s start with the obvious. The new add-on introduces Drones. Players can use Delivery Drones to bring supplies to remote areas. Then, there’s the Drone Taxi that allows passenger transportation. Let’s not forget the Security Drones that more than guarantees you know what everyone in Tropico is doing.

This newest add-on to the game also offers players five new missions with each one having a new playstyle unlocked. Get the chance to meet new characters while saving the world as El Presidente.

Here are the other things arriving to the game with the Caribbean Skies add-on:

  • New Buildings
    • Drone Factory
    • Battery Plant
    • Cargo Airport
    • Drone Delivery Service
    • Drone Taxi Service
    • Central Intelligence
    • Home Delivery Service
    • Balloon Tours
  • New Edicts
    • Gig Economy
    • Qult Anonymous
    • Drone Economy
    • Drone Recycling
  • New Traits
    • Drone Enthusiast
    • Qult Leader

Excited yet? There are new palace decorations to look forward to as well. For example, you can keep your palace fresh with the miniature version of the so-called mysterious SPEAKER. You can even use a bunch of drones and fly around Tropico flags. That should be a good way to tell the world you’re into tech. Finally, there’s the fertility bomb cannon, albeit a smaller version, that you can use to practice modern agriculture.

Of course, no add-on would be complete without a new costume. This time around it's none other than the Banana Business Suit.

Tropico 6 is the latest addition to the Tropico franchise where players take on the role of El Presidente. The game has players go through four eras, which are Colonial, World Wars, Cold War, and Modern. However, unlike in previous games where everything was happening on one island, Tropico 6 lets players rule over an archipelago or an island group.

Tropico 6 was released in 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A version for the Nintendo Switch was launched this November 2020.
