It looks like PUBG esports fans have something to look forward to with two PUBG Continental Series tournaments on the horizon. PCS Series 1 is going to be in June while PCS 2 is set for August. Both of these tournaments are going to be held in four regions: APAC, Asia, Europe, and North America. The two tournaments are going to have the same ruleset and format. In addition, each region is offering a prize pool of $200,000.

So what else can fans look forward to with these tournaments? Each region is going to feature 16 teams, all of which need to secure their seeds by going through their respective regional qualifiers. The tournament is going to be four days of intense competition over a period of two weeks. Each day is going to have five matches, either on Erangel or Miramar.

Pick’Em Challenge

After the PCS 1, there’s going to be the Pick’Em Challenge. For those not familiar, this is PUBG’s revenue sharing scheme that pro teams take part in during each of the PCS events.

What happens is fans get the chance to choose which team they think is going to reign supreme at each of these regional events. If their pick wins, then that fan gets the chance to bring home some champion level loot.

Similar to 2019, PCS 1 is going to include exclusive items that are going to be sold in-game. The actual items are going to be revealed at a later date, but 25% of the profits are going to be distributed back to the pro teams of the four different regions. Meanwhile, 12.5% of the profits are going to be added to the regional prize pools while another 12.5% will be distributed equally between the different participating teams.

PUBG said that they’re going to reveal more details at a later date. What is sure so far is that PC fans can join on June 17 and have until July 2 to pick their hopeful winners. As an extra bonus, console players can now take part as well and their schedule is for June 23 to July 2 to get their picks in.
