The Crew 2 dropped its latest update, which it calls Summer in Hollywood. That means there’s going to be new vehicles arriving to the game along with new vanity items. There is also the usual LIVE Summit for the week. Today we look at all these new things.

For this new update, players get the chance to relive their cinema memories as well as enjoy new events that honor many of the famous fictional universes. This include sci-fi, all the way to desert dunes, and even the 80s. There are also new themed vehicles that show nothing short of Hollywood’s latest star.

All of the events are going to be released along with corresponding themed LIVE Summits, of which 17 are expected and released every week. These same events are going to give players the chance to experience nostalgic moods and new music along with unique opponents. It’s also going to be permanently available in PvE so anyone can replay it as many times as they like.

As mentioned, there are also new vehicles and this includes the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (2020) which is already available today and can surely help with those Street Races. Available today as well is none other than the Koenigsegg One:1 (2014) as it joins the Hypercar discipline. Then on July 15, The Crew 2 is all set to drop two classic VWs with the Volkswagen Beetle (1967) and the Volkswagen Kombi 21 Window Bus (1966).

If that’s not enough for you, the Elite Bundle 5 is also arriving on July 15 and is going to feature these vehicles:

  • Porsche 935 2.0 Coupé « Baby » (1977) – Touring Car
  • Nissan R390 GT1 Road Version (1998) – Hypercar
  • Ducati draXter (2016) – Street Race Bike

Those babies should be enough to help you complete events. Up for grabs this week are:

  • Gold: PB Boosted Parts (Nitro Chemist Set, Pure + Extra Pump Affix)
  • Silver: Striped SquadX Tire

Fixes and Improvements

This being an update, players can also expect some changes to the game itself. One big change is on Hobbies with the Visual Parts Action now needing fewer parts, thus making it easier to complete. For those who already made progress in these, they’re going to be updated accordingly when players acquire any new visual parts. These include default parts from the acquisition of any vehicle as well as parts won in events or LIVE Summits.

Another change for Hobbies is that the LIVE Battle Influencer is now known as LIVE Battle Money. This means players now need to earn Bucks in order to progress instead of Followers. This should make it fairer for players at ICON 9999. Players that have managed to unlock Stars from the Action continue to have them although their progress is going to be reset. Tiers unlocked for a second time still award new Stars.
