New Patch

The new event arrived to the game with Patch 3.58. This update offers a rework maps along with some new platform art. The theme for this change is based on Dragonport which features a landscape of floating rocks along with a viking ship flying in the blue skies.

For Brawl of the Week it's all about Kung Foot. In this one, anything goes as players kick, bash, and slash the ball into the other team's goal. The first one to get five goals wins in this 2v2 battle wins.

Malhalla, meanwhile, has been filled with Luck o' the Brawl goodies. Players can also find Onyx and her skins here.

Balance Changes

The balance adjustments that came with Patch 3.58 are aimed at pulling back the power of what have been found to be over-performing heavy weapons. There are also weapons that have been improved, particularly those that have been struggling in matchups.

The Axe Side Light, for example, now has a greater Time to Hit and Recover on miss in order to be a better fit to the high potential string reward and overall range. Meanwhile, the Neutral Air had its Stun lowered to allow for wider dodge windows during such strings. These are the specific changes for Axes:

  • Axe Side Light
    • Increased Time to Hit to 13.
    • Increased Recover time on miss to 5 Fixed/14 Variable.
  • Axe Neutral Air
    • Decreased Stun to 25.
  • Axe Side Air
    • Increased Force to 75 Fixed/43 Variable.
  • Axe Down Air
    • Decreased Force of the aerial version to 40 Fixed/27 Variable.

Finally, there is good news for players as the Experimental Cannon kit is now available in the live game. That said, the cannon kit comes with some changes to account for the increased priority and range. Here are the details of this weapon:

  • Graduated Cannon Neutral Light
    • Increased Recover time on miss to 3 Fixed/9 Variable.
  • Graduated Cannon Side Ligh
    • Increased Force to 9 Fixed/17 Variable.
    • Slightly reduced maximum horizontal threat coverage.
  • Graduated Cannon Down Air
    • Increased Force of the aerial version to 20 Fixed/44 Variable.
    • Increased Force of the grounded version to 20 Fixed/44 Variable.
    • Slightly reduced maximum vertical threat coverage of the aerial version.
