Evil Geniuses shocked their fans after they announced the departure of two core players: S4 and SumaiL. Now, rumor has it that the King of Mid has finally found his new home.

The 20-year old professional Dota 2 player was benched by EG earlier this week. Although he is still under contract with the organization, he is expected to undergo some transfer talks. SumaiL’s departure from EG, the team that skyrocketed his career, is without a doubt the most interesting drama in the post-TI9 shuffle.

EG’s decision saw the addition of RAMZES and Abed, with Arteezy, Fly, and Cr1t completing the roster. As for SumaiL’s departure, it has definitely caught everyone in the scene by surprise. Since then, fans have been wondering where the Pakistani Dota 2 player would go.

Apparently, a screenshot has emerged showing him playing pub with a new roster. One of the players is SumaiL’s brother named YawaR, who is currently a player for Newbee. SumaiL has been vocal about the idea of playing competitive Dota 2 with his brother and that he would love to see them both in a team.

If the screenshot does mean anything, then the new lineup would be the following:

  • YawaR – Yawar Hassan
  • SumaiL – Syed Sumail Hassan
  • SVG – Avery Silverman
  • UNiVeRsE – Saahil Arora
  • MSS –Arif Anwar

The most interesting part to note here is that the next season of the Dota Pro Circuit is just around the corner. And while it is too early to assume, it does make sense for the rumor to have some weight. Dota 2 players usually play pub games together alongside their team in preparation for a new DPC season. So, if anything, it is very likely that SumaiL might end up teaming up with these players very soon.

SumaiL quickly rose to fame even before winning The International 2015. He caught the attention of the Dota 2 scene after displaying a very aggressive approach at mid lane. As a matter of fact, he has been lauded as one of the best mid laners to have ever played the game. Clearly, the upcoming season is going to be an interesting one for the young superstar.
