The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is easily one of the biggest games in the history of the industry, dwarfing many of the projects that used to vie for the title, and we're still doing our best to piece through the avalanche of useful information being collected by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt community.

To gather all of the alchemical ingredients in the game, players will have to scour the entirety of the Continent, or at least everything that CD Projekt Red has modeled in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Herbs spawn based on the surrounding environment, which we've broken down below, and only a handful of the herbs from Geralt's formula appear in every explorable region.

Click here to find out where each herb grows in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

As you may or may not have noticed, potions function a bit differently in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt than they do in many other roleplaying games. For starters, you'll only need to brew each potion once. Once Geralt has completed a particular concoction, he'll only need an alcoholic beverage on-hand to replenish his stock. Potions are refilled each time Geralt meditates, provided he has extra alcohol, and every potion in your inventory will be fully-stocked upon doing so.

As you might imagine, this potion guide gets pretty lengthy. We'd suggest using your browser's search function, which can usually be prompted by pressing Ctrl+F, to skip to whatever potion you're currently trying to track down and/or brew for the first time.

Unfortunately, we still don't have location data for all of the game's formulas; however, we've provided as much information as possible on the whereabouts of each and we'll update this list regularly. We've also included ingredients for each formula, so those who'd like to start making preparations can round up the herbs and other alchemical agents you'll need for Geralt's potions. And if you've found a formula that we haven't, feel free to drop its location into the comments section and we'll add it to the list.
