Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is offering exclusive content to those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition. In particular, they're going to get three extra missions when the game launches. The missions are Trials of the Dragon King, Wanderer of the Rift, and Different Future.

This was announced by the official Twitter account of the game. In that same announcement, it was also mentioned that the missions aren't going to be available separately.

There's no question that this is good news for those getting this edition. Besides the main game, the Deluxe Digital Edition also comes with:

  • DLC Season Pass
  • Digital Artbook
  • Digital Mini Soundtrack
  • Digital Pre-Order Bonuses
    • "Braveheart" Weapon & "Lustrous" Shield
    • "Rebellion" Weapon
    • PS4 Theme (PS Store Only)
  • Early Access

Exciting as the offer may be, it really didn't sit well for some of the fans. One user shared on Twitter that it seems those who buy the game physically are being "screwed." Another user tweeted that it would have been nice to have a physical deluxe edition.

Hopefully, Square Enix would come out with a new announcement clarifying some of the issues raised.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an alternate universe version of the original Final Fantasy. It's a dark fantasy interpretation where a group of people coming from another world is drawn to it. The main character is Jack Garland, who's consumed with a need to destroy Chaos. Joining him are two companions Ash and Jed.

The game has players explore various environments and fight against monsters of the Final Fantasy franchise. Combat happens in real-time with Jack having access to physical and magical attacks while being able to switch between two assigned jobs. Enemies have a “break gauge” and once it's depleted, Jack can do a finishing blow that crystallizes the enemy. This allows Jack to harvest them and restore a portion of his magic meter.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is scheduled to be released on March 18, 2022.
