Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town has finally arrived on consoles. Both physical and digital editions are available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at $39.99. In addition, those who buy the game get the Strawberry Cow-inspired Cow Costume DLC for free.
Making the launch of the game to these two platforms even more important is the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The game is pretty much a remake of a remake if you can call it that. It was first released under the title Harvest Moon: Back to Nature back in 1999. A remake for the Game Boy Advance was released in 2003 with the Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town.
Finally, it became the game it is now launched in 2019. There were changes implemented for this new version which included multi-floor mining and fan-favorite events like horse racing.
In the game, players take on the role of a former city-slicker who’s now become a world-class farmer. The game starts with players going back to their late grandfather’s farm and bringing it back to its former glory. Along the way, they learn more about the inhabitants of Mineral Town.
