In the world of video games, anticipation can be both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, the excitement and hype surrounding an upcoming release can help build buzz and drive sales. On the other hand, delays and setbacks are frustrating for fans who have been eagerly waiting for a game to drop. Recently, another much-anticipated title became a victim of delays.

Release Date and Starfield Direct

Bethesda Game Studios' Starfield, the next major game, won't meet its previously announced release window. Instead of launching in the first half of this year, it will now launch on September 6. The announcement was made via a trailer that went live yesterday.

However, it's not all bad news. Game Director Todd Howard revealed that a Starfield Direct is planned for June 11. This is big for those wanting for details about the title; something to look forward to while waiting for September. The event will provide an in-depth look at the game and what players can expect.

Previous Delays

This is not the first delay Starfield has suffered. Originally planned for release on November 11, 2022, the game was delayed to the following year. We hope the second delay will be the last and the developer can release a solid product.

About the Title

Starfield is a very ambitious game that promises to be a new frontier for the developer. It is a sci-fi RPG set in an entirely new universe created by the studio. The game offers a vast open world and allows players to explore space and discover new planets. The title shares many similarities with Hello Games' No Man's Sky.

Another Game in Development

It's also worth noting that the delay of Starfield will likely affect the release of The Elder Scrolls VI, another highly anticipated game from the same developer. While the company has not officially announced a release date for that game, it is widely believed to be years away from launch.
