Starcraft II got a pretty hefty patch recently that you definitely need to download right away. Patch 5.0.11 contains a boatload of balancing changes for the Zerg, Terran, and Protoss.

If you are a Zerg main, you know how frustrating it is whenever your Ultralisks get stuck because of obstructions. To resolve this particular issue, the Starcraft II dev team has reduced the size of Ultralisks by 12.5%.

Hydralisks are the bread and butter of Zerg players. The developers have noticed that the Hydralisk’s damage and fast attack speed led to inefficient kiting in most situations. So to address that, the movement speed bonus off Creep provided by the Muscular Augments upgrade has increased from 0.79 to 0.98. This makes repositioning within the Creep much better than before.

For Protoss, the Observer’s movement speed has increased slightly from 2.63 to 2.82. The move speed bonus granted by its Gravitic Boosters has also increased from 1.31 to 1.41 while maintaining a 50% speed increase. These changes ensure that Observers are able to keep up with the Protoss army without problems.

Additionally, Terran’s Raven unit now costs substantially fewer resources to build, making it a viable detector unit. You can read the other major balancing changes below:

Hatchery
  • Creep spread interval decreased from 0.3 to 0.25 (Increases the rate of Creep spread from these structures by 20%. Does not affect Creep spread from Creep Tumors).
